Job Description:The Security Associate/Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will report to the Manager, Industrial Security and will have responsibility for maintaining the Physical and Personnel Security for the facility as required by the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. This position will support a fast-paced, technically diverse employee population including government, military and contractor personnel.
Essential Functions:
* Conduct Employee briefings and debriefings.
* Responsible for initiating initial clearances, periodic reinvestigations, and upgrades as required using Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP).
* Responsible for completing and submitting employee fingerprints via Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT).
* Responsible for creating and maintaining Visit Requests via JPAS.
* Maintain Standard Practice Procedures in accordance with the NISPOM, OPNAV 9210.3 and NN-801/802.
* Process company and visitor badges visit requests and certifications for Government facilities.
* Enter data in the Corporate SIMs database.
* Investigate incidents and security violations, conduct administrative inquiries (AI), and submit reports as required.
* Provide security advice and assistance to L3Harris Staff, Contractors, and our customers.
* Maintain closed areas.
* Ensure site remains compliant with Facility Clearance (FCL) Government regulations.
* Conduct Initial and annual training, and foreign travel briefings/debriefings.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
* Must have strong working knowledge of the NISPOM
* Familiarity with OPNAV 9210.3 and NN-801/802 security requirements.
* Must have strong working knowledge of JPAS/DISS/NISS, e-QIP, and DIAS.
* Familiarity with SIMS (or like system) preferred.
* Minimum 5 years' experience implementing, administering, and complying with National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
* Excellent investigative and written & oral communication skills with internal and external entities
* Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
