Located in the outskirts of Washington, D.C, Reston Hospital Center (231-bed acute facility) lies within the vibrant Town Center of Reston, known for its lively mix of restaurants, shops, and services. * Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting all aspects of patient care.
* The staff nurse demonstrates HCA values and adheres to HCAs ethical and compliance principles in his/her daily activities.
* He/she will work closely with all health care providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, quality health care.
* Recognize and respond to changes in a patients condition

The Northern Virginia Thoracic Oncology Program at Reston Hospital's Center for Thoracic & Esophageal Disorders offers the most advanced lung cancer screening practices in the region, including endobronchial ultrasounds and low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans.

Qualifications

Full-Time - Monday - Friday (occasional weekends)

Current state licensure to practice professional nursing

Master in nursing with certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

3-5 years of experience working in Thoracic Oncology preferred

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in order to communicate with all members of the healthcare team on behalf of the patient
