Job Description
You'll be a part of the Infotainment Systems Engineering organization working within the Connectivity Technologies team, primarily focused on Short Range Wireless Connectivity such as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE/NFC/UWB. In this role you'll create detailed requirements for technical implementation of Wireless Connectivity features and functions. You'll interact across organizations to ensure Wireless Connectivity features/functions are integrated effectively into the vehicle and work with suppliers to implement new Wireless Connectivity features/functions. You'll be able to lead advanced development work around new Wireless Connectivity features/functions.

* System DFMEA/Fault Tree Analysis
* Field Assessments
* Lead/Support System Peer Reviews
* Test Result Assessment/Resolution to open system items
* Lead Advanced Development Plans/Projects
* Collaborate on Validation &Verification plan
Specific Wireless Connectivity Responsibilities:
* Develop technology roadmap for Wireless Connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE/NFC/UWB, USB, Phone Integration etc.
* Develop Global Engineering requirements for Wireless Connectivity technologies.
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Wireless Connectivity technologies
* Support tier 1 and 2 development of these technologies into GM products.
* Lead advanced development work on Wireless Connectivity technologies
* Build and maintain relationships across the Wireless Connectivity ecosystem including chipset vendors, tier 1s, device manufacturers, SW framework providers, etc.
* Work with device manufacturers, network carriers and others to develop and lead interoperability validation plans.
* Develops engineering designs (including subsystems)
* Plans and implements test and/or development programs
* Support Design/Release team for production
Qualifications
* Understanding of automotive infotainment system operation
* Experienced with embedded automotive modules
* 5+ years of relevant work experience
* Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required
* Exhibits appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
* Knowledge of engineering software and systems as it pertains to job-related area
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering
