Job Description
In-vehicle connectivity is among the fastest growing technologies in the global auto industry used to support development of cutting-edge solutions related to autonomous vehicles, car sharing, infotainment, Over-the-Air software updates and vehicle-to-vehicle communications. We are looking for creative and enthusiastic candidates to develop and launch future generations of connectivity solutions to drive leadership of in-vehicle connectivity within the automotive industry. This role will primarily focus on product development and integration of aftermarket solutions for Telematics products across a broad range of vehicle make, model, and years.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, manage, and own development and integration of connectivity solutions supporting in-market-enhancements of various Telematics products.
* Support large cross-functional group meetings and drive resolution of software defects, release issues, and schedule timing.
* Work as one team with business owners, suppliers, validation, IT, and others.
* Release parts and software into new distribution channels.
* Provide guidance for end-to-end solutions, including lifecycle, call flows, cellular provisioning, onboarding, and data loads.
* Participate in all design and tech reviews.
* Develop and maintain Telematics vehicle compatibility rollout strategy.
* Work to remove development and implementation roadblocks.
* Ensure all program deliveries, regulatory requirements and dates are met for specification release, DFMEAs, software deliveries, validation results, defect resolution, integration efforts, and product launch.
* Engage with Subject Matter Experts and Software Architecture teams to ensure specification updates are complete and software implementation is reviewed.
* Engage with Validation to ensure Validation Cross Reference Index and all validation procedures and required tools are complete and available for first software delivery.
* Ensure all Interface Component Documents, Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Work Orders are complete on time.
* Support project plans and support field actions through Over-The-Air reflash campaigns.
Additional Job Description
Qualifications
* 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
* Experience with electrical systems and functional sub-systems.
* Experience in Telematics, Connectivity, Electronics or Infotainment in-vehicle development process, product development, execution, systems engineering, vehicle integration, or validation.
* High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with other global organizations within both the technical and business communities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with in-vehicle communication technologies (4G/5G Wireless, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, eCall, V2X, GPS).
* Diagnostic test tools, vehicle bus architectures & standards, OBD-II, SAE J1979, AUTOSAR, vehicle power modes.
