About the Field Service Technician Commercial role:
Reporting to the North America Service Manager, this role is responsible for providing value-added customer technical service support, enhance customer relationships, and work with Regional Account Managers to promote Service Agreement and Aftermarket Parts sales. Service support includes proactive preventative maintenance services and offerings, service contract execution, installation, commissioning, repair, and troubleshooting services for all Trojan Technologies equipment. Onsite work includes electrical, mechanical, chemical, controller service, and training. The position also includes the expectation of meeting regional aftermarket part sales and service targets, while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
* Service:
* Manage customer service expectations, satisfaction, and relationships for all installations in the region.
* Help promote, deliver, and execute value-added service and aftermarket parts offerings to customers on a regular maintenance basis.
* Use established procedures and standard work to provide field installation, commissioning, operation & preventative maintenance services to Trojan customers.
* Solve customer problems by diagnoses of component, system failures or process issues to isolate root causes then implement most cost-effective corrective actions.
* Timely response to customer calls within the region.
* Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, resolving problems, and establishing proactive service strategies.
* Responsible for and handles all Trojan Municipal service activity within the territory.
* Create and conduct comprehensive product and technical training to customer equipment operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, and others as required.
* Promptly prepare and submit Service reports for all work completed in the field.
* Work collaboratively with Representative Sales, Trojan Sales, and Trojans Service Team to promote customer satisfaction.
* Travel requirements in the range of 60%.
* Aftermarket Parts Sales & Service:
* Meet Regional Aftermarket Parts Sales (AMPS) Targets through value selling
* Discuss Service and AMPS opportunities by participating in formal proposals, invitations to bid and supply contracts for the assigned region
* In conjunction with Manager, develop a territory strategy for service/AMPS revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability targets
* Develop new customer service agreements

Are you qualified?
* 5+ years experience in Technical Service and aftermarket sales role required
* Proven troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance skills
* Diploma or degree in an Electrical subject area (Electrical Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, etc.) is required
* A broad knowledge base of Trojans product lines is an asset
* Solid understanding of Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLC platforms; Proven ability to upload/download & troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs is preferred
* Well organized, self-starter and self-motivated
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to all customer organization levels
* Strong working knowledge of local safety regulations and requirements
