Business Overview:

Citi's newly created Institutional Credit Management Group (ICM) works closely with our Banking and Markets teams to serve as a critical component of our First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with our Independent Risk partners to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, management, and monitoring. The scope of responsibilities and scale of ICM will evolve over time to continue to meet Citis needs. Importantly, ICM coordinates with credit management groups across ICG businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.

The Business Risk Analyst will support the Leveraged Portfolio Group (LPG) in developing and maintaining a robust governance and controls framework, timely and consistent execution of the Managers Control Assessment program, adherence to Citi Policy & Procedures, data governance, and other internal requirements. The role will be an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of Leverage Finance credit underwriting functions and the ability to pursue future opportunities across the broader ICM organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Assist the Business in key policy adherence and monitoring
* Ensure adherence to the Citi Risk Policy in regard to credit approval, regulatory and reporting requirements
* Execution of the Management Controls Assessment program. Responsibilities include planning, testing and reporting
* Keep Management aware of the risk and control environment of the Business through continuous and open communication, by preparing and hosting meetings with Senior Management to present and follow-up on issues, concerns and corrective action plans
* Responsible for the coordination of key global projects and execution of Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
* Serve as main point of contact for audit groups and ensure that all audit requests are timely and appropriately provided
* Ability to identify and quantify emerging risks for the business and address those in the context risk and control
* Liaise with LPG bankers and juniors on any deficiencies or control gaps as well as ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

* 2-5 years relevant experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit or regulatory functions
* Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements
* Project management skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change
* Problem solver with the ability to translate plans in actions
* Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
* Self-motivated and detail oriented
* Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
