The Sales Trader is a senior-level position with the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
* Member of the NAM Electronic Sales Trading team with primary responsibility of driving revenues and growing market share
* Develop an understanding of Equity product benefits, with expertise in Citis Electronic offering to be an immediate contributor to the platform
* Mastering the electronic sales trading tools to effectively cover accounts
* Responsibility for training, advising and actively covering clients utilizing the firms electronic execution products
* Contribution as both primary and back-up sales trading coverage to provide seamless client coverage as we look to maintain and drive additional business initiatives with existing and prospective clients
* Anticipating and understanding client needs and pursue opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities in partnership with colleagues across the platform ( US Cash, International, Program, Derivatives, Delta 1, Sales, Convertibles, Futures, Prime, ect.)
* Engaging clients in ongoing performance dialogues in an effort to optimize execution experience with respect to client performance benchmarks
* Work collaboratively with team members and co-workers with an emphasis on maintaining a positive team atmosphere
* Market Citigroups execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service
* Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues
* Offer certain client full sales trading plus trading coverage and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policy
* Lead strong governance and controls
* Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
* Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
* Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firms reputation
* Be familiar with and adhere to Citis Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
* Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
* Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of equity electronic markets experience with established client relationships
* Strong moral character operating with highest level of integrity and ethics
* Interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
* Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
* Proven client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge
* Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the market place and market issues
* Highly organized, strong work ethic, proactive self-starter with demonstrated team commitment
Education:
* Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
