The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices as well as online and digital channels.

The Product Manager 5 is a business line lead connecting product functionality to customer need for the Risk and Control Product Strategy focus area. This includes developing product strategy and defining the best solutions for the Home Lending issues, investor and regulator directed changes, and reduction of manual controls for our high priority business processes across Home Lending. This role will be a business line lead accountable for managing the solutions throughout the product Lifecycle, gathering customer and business insights, conducting product discovery, working closely with Product Owners to deliver value, and articulating product value propositions to customers. It also includes working with cross-functional partners to ensure that revenue, customer satisfaction goals and other outcomes are defined, validated and met in alignment with the businesss overall strategy and goals.
The Product Manager is expected to:

* Help define business case, objectives and key results, and product-market fit for solutions in our Risk and Control Product Strategy area
* Lead product discovery, including customer insights through primary and secondary research, business analytics, competitive dynamics, technology trends, macroeconomic factors, and regulatory requirements for our most complex risk and control solutions
* Manage cross-functional collaboration across design, development, testing, content, marketing, legal, compliance and financial partners to ensure success of the product from al overall standpoint
* Drive product area prioritization of epics and features based on customer and business value, and work with Product Owners to translate them to quarterly goal and priorities
* Track and report on performance metrics and key performance indicators, leading to success on the overarching objectives and key results

Leadership and credibility will be determining factors in the selection process. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated advocacy capability with strong relationship management skills.

Location preference is West Des Moines, IA; Fort Mill, SC; or Charlotte, NC; Chandler/Phoenix, AZ; Minneapolis, MN or San Antonio, TX. Other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner

* Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on an overall organization
* Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
* Knowledge and understanding of Agile
* Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

Other Desired Qualifications
* Ability to prioritize backlog items based on value outcomes.
* Ability to define epics, features and user stories and collaborate with scrum teams to get them implemented
* Ability to track software delivery items and make adjustments and course-corrections on a daily and weekly basis in close partnership with delivery teams
* Mortgage industry experience focused in a combination of Servicing Business Management, Risk, Compliance and Business Process Management.
* Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
* Technology experience focused in defining the best solution to mitigate identified risks

Job Expectations
* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
* This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
