The Legal Department supports the vision, values & goals of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. Acts as a subject matter expert in a specialized area of law, researches and resolves issues and matters involving the most substantial legal and/or factual complexity, through examination of documentation, investigation and analysis. Works independently on the most complex assignments, including client inquiries, transactions and projects, claims, disputes, cases and/or proceedings, and produces concise written materials for clients, attorneys or outside counsel. Supports highly complex areas within the department requiring advanced analytical, written and oral communication, and organizational skills. Provides support across functions and/or business lines, and identifies and resolves issues which may impact multiple business lines or the enterprise. May work closely with risk, compliance and/or audit, responding to reporting inquiries. Recognizes and properly escalates significant matters. Works directly with clients to understand needs and develops strategic plans to identify and resolve issues. Identifies underlying issues and works independently on the most complex assignments. Leads initiatives within the Legal Department, including developing or improving key processes. Trains other team members in areas of expertise. Provides work direction and coaching to less experienced team members.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of paralegal experience
* 5+ years of focused practice in a concentrated area of law

Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience in risk and issue management processes
* Serve as liaison between the Legal Department Issue Management Tiger Team, the Legal Department subject matter experts and the line of business issue owners with regard to the legal review of critical-rated issues in the SHRP system; research critical issues related to third-party risk management; draft memoranda for internal communications as requested by manager; mentor and train junior paralegals on contract administration and drafting; review and redline contract documents for attorney review; miscellaneous duties as required.
