Job Summary:

Magical dining experiences abound at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Our Table Service Restaurants provide the perfect setting for any occasion. This role is primarily working in backstage kitchen areas.

The Food Handler assists the Inventory Control Clerk by helping inspect, unload, weigh and distribute deliveries of all Hotel food, beverage and non-food products.

The starting rate for a Food & Beverage Non-inventory control Receiver is $14.70/ hour.

Disney Parks has implemented several new and enhanced safety measures based on guidance from health and government authorities. These measures include but are not limited to increased cleanliness and disinfection, health screening and prevention support, physical distancing and capacity measures, and cast member training.

Please be advised of the following requirements for all cast members.

* A health screening and temperature check must be completed at home prior to coming to work each day
* Appropriate face coverings must be worn at all times, including upon entry and exit of the workplace. The Company will provide reusable cloth face coverings per employee that meet the approved safety standards of the Company Safety Committee

Further requirements are dependent on role.
* Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
* Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies

Responsibilities:

* Confirms accuracy of deliveries by verifying packing slips to include weighing of products
* Ensures accuracy and quality is in compliance of all deliveries through inspection and adherence to food safety standards
* Maintain stock levels by dating, rotating and properly storing food and non-food items
* Maintain sanitation standards for cleaning of all freezers, coolers, walk-ins, storerooms, and back dock areas
* Delivers food or non-food products to Hotel Restaurant locations
* Count stock and order products utilizing the AOT hand held device.
* Ability to manually load/unload trucks and trailers
* Responsible for utilizing and operating receiving equipment (i.e. pallet jacks, rider pallet jacks, forklifts)
* Assist in monthly inventories.
* Assist the Inventory Control Clerk and provide backup coverage for ICC as needed
* Utilize large dish machines and manually wash large pots & pans
* Stock clean dishes, glassware & silverware
* Empty Trash and Recycling cans
* Cleaning kitchen apparatus and mopping floors (use of chemicals)

Basic Qualifications:

* Must have strong organizational skills.
* Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or part of a team.
* Must meet the physical demands, including but not limited to: lifting over 10-75lbs, frequently bending, twisting, occasionally kneeling, constant use of hands, using repetitive wrist motion, and ability to work in extreme temperature changes (heat/cold; indoor/outdoor)
* Full Availability for any shift a minimum of (7) days per week

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong and proven computer skills
* Previous experience operating fork lifts, pallet jacks and rider pallet jacks
* Previous warehouse or inventory control experience
* Proven ability to deliver positive client/customer service satisfaction.
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
* Bilingual preferred
