Job Summary:
The Safety and Health-Food Safety position serves as a key technical food safety resource and is responsible for the implementation and sustainment of key food safety and health programs for their designated food and beverage and merchandise locations. Exceptional candidates will drive above average compliance with food safety controls through the implementation of targeted strategies and tactics. This role is required to use sound technical judgment to assess, analyze, identify, and solve a broad spectrum of food safety issues across Walt Disney World Resorts. The role will be required to drive results by guiding implementation of food safety programs including hazard analysis critical control point, evaluate food safety performance, develop food safety mitigations, and identify opportunities to continuously improve food safety performance. Must be knowledgeable of applicable food safety standards/food codes and, when necessary, be able to resolve complex issues outside of established regulations. Required to develop strong relationships and work as part of a team within a fast paced, matrix environment with all levels of leadership and employees.
Basic Qualifications:
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory and industry standards and best practices
* Demonstrated ability to use analytics and identify trends
* Self driven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems outside area of expertise
* Demonstrated flexibility and ability to operate within an ambiguous and changing environment
* Proven strong planning, organization and prioritization skills
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
* Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations
* Strong consultative and influencing skills
* Experience in training delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
* 4 year degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or Public Health
* Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or Public Health preferred
* CFSP, REHS, CIH, or CSP credentialed
* Ergonomic, industrial hygiene, environmental health, and food safety experience
* Bi-lingual language skills
Required Education
* 4 year college degree
* 2+ years of safety/food safety/public health experience required
