Position: Director of Sales, Specialty and National Accounts, Altra

Leads overall Sales planning, budget, and execution for specialty and national accounts. These plans help to guide the Altra sales strategy across the US. As a senior member of the sales management team; provides leadership and vision to drive product sales by planning, controlling and directing the activities of the Companys US specialty and key account team to attain maximum sales volume and profitability. Establish control-related standards and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides dynamic, visible and inspirational leadership to positively impact business initiatives, direction, and vision for team and peers. Accountable for business results, profit & loss and executing key initiatives. Brings a track record in managing a successful business and proven experience in strategic sales and business planning.

1. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets

2. Manage, mentor and train internal and independent sales team. Create team structure that aligns to future distribution and brand strategy.

3. Achieve goals and strategies set forth in the strategic plan, including enhancing and building account relationships, seasonal Go to Market and growth strategies and development of the wholesale activation strategies

4. Develop USA strategic sales plan to align with Altra's and VFs strategic initiatives and financial targets

5. Manage the strategic account plan, ensure complete execution and align seasonal initiatives with Go to Market (GTM) strategy. Coordinates early pre-lines with product team to gather critical information on specific market trends.

6. Build out multi-channel distribution strategy, including run specialty, premium comfort footwear, outdoor and better sporting goods.

7. Collaborate with LT on strategy alignment and future direction of sales strategy and organization.

8. Oversees the current Altra partner relationships as well as being able to identify and build on new Altra business opportunities including maximizing channels and new markets

9. Partners with Product, Operations, Marketing, Brand, Finance, Global Sales and other departments to ensure all process, strategic and financial goals are being met

10. Utilize consumer, market share and POS data insights to sustain and grow retail business while proactively addressing issues and opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

* Bachelors degree preferred, in Business, Marketing, or a related field
* 10+ years of Sales or marketing experience leading a complex organization
* Background in product merchandising a plus
* Proven ability to create and implement winning sales strategy and drive corporate long-range goals
* Demonstrated results in executing multiple projects and integrated plans on a seasonal basis
* Quantified results in leading teams to targeted results and exceeding expectations
* Excellent process management skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated team and leadership skills
* Proven ability to build and maintain business critical relationships/partnerships
* Ability to travel 40%

Salary Range:

$148,000.00 USD - $222,000.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility:

This position is eligible for a specific sales incentive plan.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility:

This position is eligible to be nominated annually to participate in VFs Executive Long-Term Incentive Plan.
