The Vice President of Customer Delivery will report directly to the Industrial Vice President of Global Operations. The Industrial vertical includes Engineered Fastening (SEF), Infrastructure, Aerospace, and Oil & Gas segments.

The VP of Customer Delivery will manage the Supply Chain Planning process, including departments involved in forecasting, materials planning and procurement of inventory to maintain budgeted inventory turns and fill rates for all global order to customer fulfillment for the Industrial business. The qualified candidate is responsible for delivering best in class inventory management resulting in customer fill rates of 98%+ consistent fulfillment and continuous inventory optimization contributing to working capital turns improvement. The VP will be responsible for the successful business new product introduction execution plans, the key business contact for long term inventory capacity planning for both plants and purchased products, and the oversight of the component planning process. The VP will work closely with the Global Commercial Leaders as well as the Regional leaders to ensure superior Customer Service reliability and to drive the S&OP process. Responsibility will also include the customer service network supporting the global markets. Success in this position will be achieved by continuous planning and analysis, problem solving, and seeking creative and efficient solutions to deliver the best possible demand and supply plan that supports global customer fill rates, working capital management, and cost-efficient logistics solutions. The position will operate in a fast paced, demand driven environment.

The Vice President, Customer Delivery will be a visible model of leadership, managerial excellence, and integrity, and will be responsible for the following duties:

* Direct business planning process improvement initiatives and influence and implement best practices
* Oversee the purchasing for product required based on planned demand from Supply Chain Planning module or input from marketing for new product launch or tests
* Manage the various vendor relationships to produce the service level requirement to support supply chain requirements
* Monitor the on-time and complete performance of suppliers
* Work with product development and sourcing departments to integrate new supplier or brand launches as well as regulatory upgrades to existing packaging or formulations
* Serve as the direct interface between manufacturing and the marketing commercial teams to determine the best business execution plans
* Work closely with IT group to optimize use of SAP data for Inventory Planning and Purchasing Groups
* Oversee management of parameters and settings to optimize safety stock and lead time values
* Work with business level S&OP Managers to drive forecast accuracy
* Track forecast accuracy and consumption versus forecast
* Oversee the complexity reduction process; Drive platform alignment on preferred products and vendors. Develop and implement a process to ensure new products are aligned with complexity reduction goals
* Maintain inventory planning process consistency to reduce excess and obsolete and disciplined process for life cycle management and adjust as business conditions change and require inventory planning improvements.
* Monitor the KPIs and metrics associated with final shipments to customers to prevent/ reduce out of stock situations, watch for trends impacting forecasting needs or marketing changes impacting forecasting requirements.
* Serve as planning process Subject Matter Expert to support planning systems updates, upgrades and implementations
* Facilitate Annual Capacity Planning to ensure an appropriate review & interrogation is performed, yielding a proper evaluation of future capacity requirements.
* Coordinate with marketing & manufacturing teams to plan new product launches, demand variation contingencies, and regular continual updates of available capacities.
* Lead, teach, and implement strategies that continue the evolution of the Stanley Fulfillment System (SFS).

* Monitor the talent pool at all levels within the organization to ensure that world class managers are being developed. Work closely with the Vice President of Human Resources in identifying and implementing programs and activities that drive development and retention

* Ensure that business is conducted with the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking an outstanding Operations executive with a proven track record of success in developing significant improvements in costs, inventory turns, quality and delivery for a world class organization. He/she must have management experience within a business with a global operations footprint.

The successful candidate will have an ability to manage effectively in a matrix and multicultural environment. His/her management style will be open, fact-based, results oriented and collaborative. Because this role will become a key component of our succession plan to the VP of Global Operations, we are seeking an individual that also has a proven track record in manufacturing.

The individual will also possess the following experiences/competencies:

* Bachelors degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred
* Minimum of fifteen (15) years of related experience with a world class global operations organization.
* Effective project management skills, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Strong understanding of MRP, inventory control and work order management in a manufacturing environment
* Distribution experience preferred
* Forecasting and scheduling experience, preferably in a high volume environment
* First-hand exposure to capital goods manufacturing, preferably in power tools, automotive, or construction machinery manufacturing
* The ability to quickly assess the operational efficiency of a functional group or facility and prioritize improvement processes.
* An ability to develop a world-class management team.
