JOB PURPOSE:

Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

NATURE OF DUTIES:

* Providing engineering support for manufacturing of electro-mechanical assembly.
* Playing a key role in the introduction of new product, cost reduction and continuous improvement in our electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly departments.
* Managing and supporting capital acquisition projects.
* Providing Design for Assembly support during new production development.
* Providing assembly process development and training, new product work area layouts, tooling requirements, and assembly fixture designs using lean concepts.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors Degree in a Related Field
* 2 -5 years of relevant job experience.
* Effective Experience with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Engineering SW Tools such as; (Autocad, Visio, MiniTab, Agile/Configuration management SW)
* Working knowledge of systematic problem solving through root cause analysis
* Strong background in Lean and Six Sigma concepts and application
* Experience with Conformal coating process knowledge and programming is preferred
