Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking successful candidate to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the incoming and outgoing of materials, merchandise or equipment. Duties include receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control. Performs manual and/or clerical duties that may utilize computers involved in receipt or preparation of materials for shipment. May operate vehicles to transport material or merchandise. May compile and compute freight rates and other charges for transportation services. Traces shipments. May be responsible for government and company property tracking and control. Calculates and records storage and other applicable charges. Replies to inquiries. Draws attention to important items and actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions. Checks for work correctness.
Receiving personnel accept deliveries from carriers, log for tracking, and verify the classification of the receipt documentation. Material is processed according to special handling and classification requirements. Any overages, shortages, or damage are recorded on receipt paperwork. Verify ship to address on bill of lading and containers, special routing instructions and ensure that shipment belongs to the receiving Raytheon site. Packages that have been determined not to belong to Raytheon are immediately returned to the carrier/driver or reported to the carrier for pickup at their earliest convenience. Count and verify there is no visible damage to all packages delivered by carrier. Ensure that the carrier and logistics record all anomalies (damage, missing packages, etc.) prior to signing for the packages. Document the condition of damaged property immediately. Do not allow personnel to unload or move the property prior to creating the appropriate documentation, whether pictures or paperwork noting the damage on the carrier bill of lading. After documenting the damage, unload and isolate the property. Determine if material requires special handling to comply with purchase order requirements and/or federal, state or local regulations. Items with special handling instructions will be processed according to local Work Instructions, as required. Verify packing list to actual contents if material is GFE (Government Furnished Equipment) or CFE (Customer Furnished Equipment). Then process and route according to local work instructions, as applicable. Reporting discrepancies and security incidents to manager for resolution. Bringing items to record in PRISM and ALCS. Shelving all items. Updating shelf locations in PRISM and ALCS.
Required Skills:
4 years of applicable experience.
Must be US Citizen with current/existing secret clearance or ability to obtain in reasonable timeframe.
Must be able to drive a variety of forklifts.
Must be able to work overtime.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks while working in a fast paced environment.
Strong organizational and reconciliation skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in order to communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
