Job Description

As a Raw Material Coordinator you will be responsible for the purchase of raw materials, management of raw material inventories, and vendor relationship management. The coordinator will provide high levels of service to the production team by ensuring timely delivery of purchase orders, with accurate and timely entry of those same orders. Strong communication with the Raw Materials Manager, production teams, supply planning teams, and warehousing teams is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Entry

Ensure orders are placed in a timely manner

Work with vendors to ensure low-cost service

Work with vendors to ensure high on-time, in full delivery

Manage deliveries as required

Inventory Management

Monitor expired, obsolete, and aging materials to ensure minimization of waste

Manage purchases to avoid overstocks

Warehouse communication

Monitor receipts of purchase orders and assist in resolving issues

Manage returns of damaged materials

Continuous Improvement

Generate project ideas, lead/participate on project teams

Complete DMAIC and PDCA projects

Qualifications:

* A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain and strong analytical experience
* Experience working within an ERP system (Oracle preferred).
* Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to prioritize and work without a lot of direct supervision
