ROLE SUMMARY
This position is a shop floor team leader for a first shift Sterile Filling operation. The scope of the position includes a large number of direct reports (~20) of several different job titles, with responsibilities for 24x7 operation split between three supervisors. Key accountabilities include day to day management of the shop floor schedule, ensuring all processes are completed in a manner meeting safety and quality requirements.
In addition to the shop floor team leader role, this position includes the IMEx (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence) PCT (Process Centric Team) leadership role for the APN (Aseptic Processing North) PCT. This role leads the IMEx activities across three shifts and multiple aseptic filling lines.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Supervisor Mgr/TL position is responsible for leadership of a sterile filling organization.
* Responsible for effective leadership of work team which includes: managing the daily operation ensuring that applicable safety guidelines and policies are followed; observing that cGMPs are followed, production SOPs are upheld, and production schedules are met. The supervisor will work with the team to define metrics and strategy to achieve results. Responsible for leading the implementation of IMEx principles on the shop floor.
* The supervisor will act as coach and mentor to transform team into a cohesive, harmonized team. Responsible for counseling colleagues to assure proper development for their success, supporting all colleagues to enable them to reach their full potential, and to provide corrective action when necessary. Manager/TL is also responsible to ensure timely performance feedback and appraisals for all team members.
* Responsibility to deliver results from a work team that spans three shifts. The position will be based on first shift but will be expected to spend sufficient time with the other shifts and weekends, and with Supervisors and Production Leads on the other shifts, to successfully carry out the job requirements.
* Successful candidate must demonstrate personal leadership initiative, judgment and accountability in day-to-day work activities in addition to strong planning/organizational skills. Must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity and cooperation in working with diverse colleagues/groups. Strong technical skills desired.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of related experience and a BS/MS degree in Business, Engineering or Science discipline, or 10+ years related experience in pharmaceutical operations.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will be responsible for leadership of seven (7) days per week sterile filling operation with some weekend and Holiday on-site activities required.
Note: Aseptic Filling TLs rotate working onsite weekends to ensure that 365 day support of filling is achieved.
