SUMMARY OF POSITION: To perform those job duties necessary, in grades 3 and below, that will enable the production requirements to be completed at a satisfactory level. These duties usually are to, but are not limited to, be performed in Area I of the plant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Must be able to perform all duties as assigned by the shift Value Stream Team Lead on a day to day assignment as necessary. 2. Job proficiency must be shown on Bobbin Winder, Extruder Operator, Braider Services, and Cement/Dye. 3. Be able to prepare and complete all associated paperwork. 4. Must maintain work areas in a clean and orderly fashion. 5. Must perform work to prescribed safety guidelines. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately. 2. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner. 3. Maintain production schedules. 4. Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. 5. Other duties may be assigned at a later time
Education required: High School diploma or GED Experience: Production work preferred but not required Must be able to work: Bobbin Winder, Extruder Operator, Braider Services, Cement/Dye Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 1.
