In this job, you will support the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Wildfire Response program and coordinate and execute key projects and initiatives where you will create and maintain PSPS protocols, ensure compliance with PSPS requirements and perform required regulatory reporting. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine brightly!
* Keep abreast of PSPS and WMP regulatory proceedings and activities and consults with the dedicated PSPS IMT to identify potential impacts to SCEs PSPS programs and initiatives and provide recommendations on program changes to comply with new requirements.
* Lead and manage the execution of key projects and initiatives directed at ensuring the integration of regulatory requirements into existing and new operational processes and procedures for blue-sky and in-event PSPS program activities.
* Lead response to PSPS activations by filling critical ICS positions on the Dedicated PSPS IMT to ensure effective management of in-event compliance and operational requirements.
* Provides direction to technical specialists in the PSPS compliance area to coordinate support for both blue-sky and in-event PSPS activities.
* Consults with the Dedicated IMT to support the development and maintenance of PSPS processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
* As a case manager, leads cross functional teams to develop responses to PSPS regulatory proceedings and data requests.
Qualifications
The Essentials
* Ten years of experience leading projects and teams governed by regulatory and compliance requirements, preferably in the utility sector.
The Preferred
* Bachelors degree or higher in management or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* In depth working knowledge of PSPS requirements and experience working in PSPS related positions.
* Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
* Five years experience responding to complex emergencies with significant operational, financial and reputational impacts.
* Project Management Certification.
* Certified in ICS 300 and 400.
* Certified Emergency Manager.
