What does a great VP, GM, Lending Products and Business do?

As the Vice President, GM Lending Products & Business, you will be responsible for expanding and growing our lending business with a set of new lending products that serve our financial institution partners. And you will be responsible for leading the lending P&L, overseeing product development and management, ensuring client satisfaction through developing strong partnerships and building influence with partners across the organization both in North America and globally. Our lending program clients include Fiservs largest financial institutional partners, downstream merchant partners and major national and multinational merchants and manufacturers.

Loans are growing at a 3-5x the rate of card adoption and seeing significant adoption by consumers as an alternative financing model. With the combination of digital experiences and recent economic events, we are seeing an acceleration of alternative financing adoption that warrants our clients to offer new forms of payment. In addition, we are seeing creative applications of our platform that flex to different merchant verticals, consumer demographics and promotional offers.

Fiserv is uniquely positioned in the market to support the POS lending capabilities and solutions for merchants, banks, retail aggregators and issuers. This role will focus on distribution, adoption and delivery of our lending solutions through our FI partner channels and will partner with a number of teams within Issuer Solutions and across the organization to drive the outcome, including merchant acquiring and our international FI team, to deliver a best in class set of solutions for alternative lending focused on consumer off-card closed term loans and credit lines for our institutional clients. Our current lending products include point-of-sale installment loans (6+ month term), micro loans (under 6 months), post-transaction installment loans on credit cards (ILOCC), cash advance and deposit advance.

Specifically, you will be responsible for 1) delivering on the key components of the Fiserv lending product suite including core changes, front-end consumer user flows / experiences, expansion of originations capabilities, merchant plug in and integrations, and a merchant / FI portal, 2) partnering with key stakeholders to ensure commercialization is fully complete for target products including pricing, 3) centrally managing all client discussions, revenue targets and delivery including with our top institutional clients, and 4) partnering closely with product, technology and other partners to drive client definition and delivery.

This unique role will be central to putting Fiserv in a position of strength within the payments lending space and harnessing the best assets from across the company to solution a unique set of products and solutions.

This position is a strategic member of the Credit Processing leadership team. You will also be expected to build a product and functional team to support new and existing clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Define value proposition, pricing / business case and partner with sales and account teams to drive lending portfolio adoption and delivery

* Partner with program, project and implementation team of 50+ to deliver against client requests and business plans

* Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for end-to-end management of the lending business

* Drive performance against key P&L levers revenue opportunity identification and managing investment dollars

* Lead client discussions and solutioning in the client office, ranging from executive pitches to project teams to bring sale to delivery

* Work closely with sales, development, client delivery teams and partners to advise requirements for the construction of the products

* Perform as a key leader of furthering Fiservs Payments strategy by hiring, developing and retaining talent, aas well as influencing organizational structure and expanding the overall knowledge across the enterprise

* Validate initiatives with clear business case, including benefits and impacts of releases across the organization and clients

* Partner with delivery team to segment lending book of work and lead each with effective strategies and resource support, e.g. BAU v. critical initiatives

* Lead partnerships with key organizational partners, including executive leadership, sales, marketing, operations, finance, legal, and others to ensure aligned portfolio and business success

* Provide market feedback to Issuer Solutions Leadership team regarding ideas for new offerings and client needs based on synthetization of intakes through the delivery process

* Define and execute strategies that will enable scaled adoption of products across key customers

* Design and develop improvement opportunities to gain efficiencies of project methodologies, deliverables, reporting and training to mature capabilities in service and delivery

* Prepare and communicate strategies while maintaining effective, on-going relationships with Client Executives

* Lead an annual, quarterly and monthly planning exercise in partnership with client and product teams to ensure expectations are effectively managed

* Generate new revenue growth by finding opportunities to price servicing functions

* Actively lead the development of strategies and programs for large, strategically important regional and global clients

* Collaborate with Finance to establish a monthly review model inclusive of revenue and expense measurement and reporting.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

* Bachelor's degree in business, operations or a related field required.

* 12+ years of experience with proven experience with execution and delivery; with most of the experience in leadership roles, operational consulting a positive

* 10+ years of experience in the Payments Industry

* Strong executive presence and presentation

* Shown success in effectively driving business outcomes and client delivery

* Solid understanding of business financial practices and accounting

* Strong experience in data-driven management, metrics and reporting

* Excellent ability to lead and empower and drive cross-functional teams

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

* Consistent track record to understand sophisticated business and technical concepts and make balanced judgments when faced with trade-offs

* Strong analytical skills and ability to build consensus

* Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to interact at all levels of the clients from C-level to technical and operation levels

* Solid thought leadership and the ability to influence others through collaborative efforts

* An ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of constituencies

* Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success to effectively complete tactical activities

* A high degree of adaptability and flexibility to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Travel Required (Post-COVID):

* Approximately 40-50% travel throughout the year to various Fiserv offices and client locations
