Job Description

The MIS Surveillance Unit of the Clinical Team (Healthcare Systems and Worker Safety (HSWS) Task Force) on the COVID-19 Response is looking for a Senior Database Manager. The COVID-19 clinical team develops and updates information and guidance for clinicians regarding clinical aspects of COVID-19 disease. Additional activities include regular communications with clinicians to aid their understanding of COVID-19 disease, responding to clinical inquiries from the general public, and monitoring for adverse events associated with COVID-19 therapeutics.

The Health Systems and Worker Safety (HSWS) Task Force has over 250 members. This task force is involved in providing guidance to clinicians, monitoring public health inquires and developing guidance for essential workers.

The Database Manager may also perform the following as needed:
* Validation and cleaning of clinical data
* Formulation of descriptive tables, application epidemiological principles to interpret findings
* Project management, including communicating with state health department partners
* Develop written documentation, such as SOPs and/or analysis plans, to ensure project transition/continuation

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills and Experience:
* 5+ years managing complex public health databases
* Experience performing (at minimum) descriptive analyses in SAS or R
* Familiarity with statistical methods
* Database management (processing and integrating datasets)
* Proficiency in SAS or R
* Knowledge of: REDCap, DCIPHER, NNDSS/NNAD data, and Excel
* Experience writing reports on data quality
* Experience leading data validation efforts for large databases
* Experience managing and analyzing clinical data
* Experience with conducting inferential statistical analyses such as regression, correlation, or time-to-event analyses
* Developing and implementing SOPs and monitoring for compliance
