Performs non-professional nursing tasks in the care and comfort of primarily adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic illness. Completes tasks as assigned by the RN (Registered Nurse). Performs specific treatments/procedures under the direction of the LPN/RN. Maintains clean and orderly patient care areas, equipment, and supplies. Restock inventories and supplies to keep supplies readily available. May be needed to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):

* Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
* Preferred Education: Post high school vocational coursework or specialized medical training as CNA, EMT, PCA, Unit Secretary, Student Nurse or Certified Phlebotomist.
* Required certification: Nursing Assistant certificate e and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
* Preferred Experience: One (1) year experience in an acute care setting
* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
* Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to assess/detect changes in human physiological condition.
* Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment
