Responsible for the technical program management activities and alignment for strategic programs, coordinating among a wide range of cross-functional internal and external resources to ensure that programs are within the scope, within budget and on schedule, with guidance from senior staff member(s). Serve as the program lead for specific, defined multi-discipline technical programs or projects of greater than average complexity and scope. Responsible and accountable in the planning, development and delivery of new technical programs. Acts as a technical expert in own area within the organization. May work independently or as part of a team on more complex projects. Provides mentoring and guidance to more junior team members. May be responsible for leading a team but does not directly manage people.

In this role

As the Program Manager for the NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION initiative, you will lead a large and complex, multi-disciplinary program with multiple projects and subcomponents. This will cover initiatives across many Comcast domains, including network, cloud, application development, and security domains. The program that will be immediately managed by this individual is the Tenant Security Framework (NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION) for Comcast Cyber Security Organization.

What you will do

* Assist with the development and maintain the NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION program governance process and getting it agreed upon with clear plans and communications on the mission, goals, and strategic objectives. For these programs, you will own the orchestration and delivery as per the plan. You will also support the development of the annual operating plan to address current and emerging needs.
* Help manage and negotiate commitments and alignment for backlog items across multiple organizations.
* In this role, you will enable the project leaders to efficiently do ongoing progress reporting against their plans and objectives.
* Analyze actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with overall program objectives. Ensure program milestones are accomplished and ensure overall committed timelines are met. Consistently document and communicate all major plan changes in scope, approach, resources, and timeline.
* Drive the coordination and execution of a governance structure and processes to support the NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION program objectives.
* In partnership with the NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION Program leader, develop and drive strategic governance and quarterly program reviews with meaningful agendas
* Facilitate the development of efficacy measures of the NETWORK/APPLICATION SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION program to convey the overall success and maturity of the program, including trends and leading indicators of risk. Execute monthly reporting to senior management.
* Oversee the creation of new and innovative processes and tools as necessary to support additional needs and requirements on an ongoing basis. Encourage new and innovative ideas to solve challenging security issues and embraces continuous improvement and agile work styles.
* Demonstrate strong facilitation and collaboration skills, and situational leadership even when you are not the designated leader.

What you should possess

* Experience influencing technologists, engineers, and architects with best practices
* An entrepreneurial spirit, can do attitude and self-drive to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge; avoids analysis paralysis
* Strong experience working with different styles of Agile teams and negotiating backlog items to align program goals across multiple projects and teams.
* Experience developing and enhancing a product (internal or customer-facing)
* Strong sense of ownership, drive and results-oriented
* Experience in designing and operating governance and security processes at the system, network, and application levels
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization in a highly collaborative and impactful manner
* Superb written and oral communication skills involving both business and technical sides
* Able to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
* Proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry-defining.
* Knowledge of NIST, PCI, and other cybersecurity standards will be a plus.

What we require

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
* 12 years or more experience managing complex projects
* Experience in managing high visibility and complex programs with demonstrated ability to present to diverse and C-Level audiences.
* Cybersecurity and project management certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, and/or PMP are desired
* Ability to travel within the Comcast geographic areas, primarily Philadelphia, PA and Moorestown, NJ as needed (10-20%)
