Our mission in Reliability Engineering (RE) at Comcast is simple: Use innovative software and tools to transform operations in order to improve the performance of our network and products for our residential and business customers. We are on a journey to redefine how people, process and technology come together to create the necessary capabilities enabling world-class business and technology operations. At the core of this transformation are the products the RE Innovation team builds to support ITSM and ITOM processes, customer troubleshooting and enablement.
This Business Analyst will be expected to become fully integrated with the ITSM team so they are viewed as the expert in their needs and can communicate with the engineering team to design and deliver functionality so that Comcast employees can receive the technology services they need as quickly and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities:
-Maintain a working knowledge of how the system is designed to meet the needs of the ITSM team as well as other teams to ensure the integrity of the overall architectural solution as new enhancements are made and new teams are onboarded.
-Maintain a working knowledge of the current ITSM process and best practices
-Act as the product historian and researcher who analyzes and proposes solutions to complex problems
-Performs technical analysis of new feature requests and potential defects
-Identify risks and works with Product Owner to optimize success
-Works with Product and Business Owner to prioritize and maintain the backlog
-Manage ownership of writing new user stories and acceptance criteria
-Drive requirements definition and discussion
-Develop and communicate detailed requirements with the team
-Serve as the stakeholder's representative and advocate. Adopts the stakeholder's perspective when defining user journeys and story maps to identify underlying business needs, recognize trends and anticipate future needs.
-Work as an active member of the agile tea. Willing to roll up your sleeves to resolve issues, test software, assist with go-live challenges, and do what is needed to get across the finish line.
-Propose and implement workflow process improvements
-Work with Software Developers to support design and development, as required
-Perform user story Grooming with Team
-Liaise between the stakeholders, user community, and internal Software Developers to define system solutions
-Provide subject matter expert and operational support
-Facilitate information transfer and communication between teams to optimize decisions

Job Specification:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations
Management, Applied Mathematics, related field or equivalent
Qualified candidates should have:
-4-6 years of experience as a business analyst
-Experience in a fast-paced Agile software development environment working
with software engineering teams.
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
-Experience in testing.
-Experience in automated testing a plus.
-Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.
-Preferred Service Now experience
-Preferred experience in ITSM
