The Wireless Strategic Development organization began by developing the Xfinity Mobile product offering and is now focused on the next step. We are expanding our team so that Comcast can continue driving growth and innovation in wireless through the evaluation of new products, offerings, partnerships and technology. By leveraging Comcasts core strengths of 27+ million customer relationships, 22+ million WiFi hotspots, state of the art network assets, spectrum holdings and other assets, we look to accelerate Comcasts wireless future.
Job Summary
An experienced technical team leader and product owner, responsible for testing wireless devices and applications in the research and development phase, leveraging the following technologies (5G, CBRS, Dual SIM, eSIM, MP-TCP and WiFi). Collaborate across the wireless organization and lead a small team of UE quality engineers to develop device requirements, interface with OEMs, design and lead field and lab testing efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the owner of and drive Comcasts Dual SIM product roadmap
- Provide leadership for the testing of new pre-release firmware and software Xfinity Mobile and Xfinity WiFi products
- Collaborate internally to develop testing processes, methodology, and tools
- Construct and execute test plans to validate functional, performance, and business requirements
- Provide technical device and testing expertise based on your strong experience to internal teams
- Interface with key OEMs to represent Comcasts testing findings and advocate for solutions to improve Xfinitys products
- Design, document, and implement unique test beds, automation frameworks, and tools to support mobile device, software, and 802.11 WiFi AP testing
- Support mobile field trials
- Provide day to day leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to test team members
- Produce and provide technical and executive-level reporting (PowerPoint and presentation)
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary

Required Qualifications
- Education Level - Masters Degree or equivalent
- Field of Study - Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Electric/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Years Experience - Generally requires 12+ years related experience
- Proven experience providing technical leadership to mobile device hardware and firmware testing team
- Strong knowledge of wireless access technologies including LTE, 5G and WiFi
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern mobile device internal software and hardware architectures for both IOS and Android based devices.
- Previous responsibility for the secure handling of pre-release devices.
- Hands on experience testing mobile devices in a lab environment.
- Experience developing device test automation
- Experience with Qualcomm (QXDM, QCAT) and Accuver test tools, post processing, and analytics
- Familiarity with Android Telephony Framework and iOS Application Development.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects working with a large cross-functional team
- Experienced technical writing skills sufficient to produce white papers, test cases, test plans, design documents, and technical diagrams.
- Technology management experience working with the top / 5-7MSOs, Telco, satellite operators or major wireless vendor in the U.S.
- Expertise with WiFI, CBRS, 5G, and LTE
- Operational experience with Octoscope, Keysight and Spirent test tools.
- Experience with handset manufacturers, network equipment vendors, and/or chipset vendors
