Job Description

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities

* Works with local 3PL on day-to-day operational matters
* Supervises 2 Supply Chain Coordinators
* Develops and implements logistical projects and initiatives that will drive improvement in cost, quality, and service to customer
* Supports Channel Partner Group and Tradex sales / operations on logistical concerns with alternate distributors
* Communicates / builds relationships with transportation providers
* Consults with Finance on month end warehouse spending results

Qualifications

* High school diploma required degree preferred
* 3+ years of warehouse operations experience
* Prior experience as a manager or supervisor
* Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence background is desired
* Strong communication skills
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
