Boeing's Defense & Space, Missile Weapons Systems Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) Program is seeking an Associate Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer - Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (ABMD) (Level 2) to join our team in Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities:
* Responsible Engineer (RE) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies
* Refine, validate, coordinate and implement conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build
* Resolve complex technical problems
* Serve as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained
* Lead advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities
* Deploy company Lean Enterprise analysis methods
* Document and communicate producibility best practices
* Provide guidance to others through structured mentoring
Work Authorization:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
* 2 or more years of experience in Missile Defense Programs
* Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. .
