Compensation Data

Salary range: $55,700. - $88,600.

Allstate Insurance has an exceptional opportunity for a Virtual Auto Technical Adjuster to join the Auto Team!

About the Role

This job is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service and attention to customers who have a vehicle that are potentially a total loss. The individual virtually inspects damage to a vehicle (which may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and recreational vehicles), writes damage repair estimates, completes total loss valuations and negotiates moderately complex and occasionally complex settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, customers, and estimates repair times for rental/loss of use/ storage and teardown. The individual works independently, prioritizes the individual's own responsibilities, and manages the individual's own workload and is responsible for explaining coverage, estimates, claims, settlement, and rental processes to agents and/or customers.

Key Responsibilities
Investigates moderately complex and occasionally complex files, reviews damage, takes photos, and determines reparability or total loss through virtual inspections
Prepares damage estimates or valuation for moderately complex and occasionally complex claims and locates parts
Conditions vehicles, prepares report for customer and determines valuation of salvage
Initiates payments (QCP, Fast Mobile Epay, etc.) and pays appropriate parties
Negotiates and settles moderately complex and occasionally complex claims in accordance with business unit best practices
Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process
Reviews the Triage Tool and partners with the Good Hands Repair Network for vehicles that may be potential total losses, and determines reparability and if repairs can be settled rapidly
Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
Evaluates diminished value in a moderately complex and occasionally complex claim
Responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex arbitrations contentions

Job classification and hours:
Experienced Auto Technical Adjuster- Band B2

o Work schedule: TBD- based on business need. Can be 1st or 2nd shift
o Weekend rotations with comp day

Job Qualifications
Strong auto technical skills- Minimum of 3 years estimating experience
Total loss experience / field or virtually
Excellent customer service skills and a passion to help others
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
Excellent time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Licensing required; multiple markets preferred. Required to obtain required licenses within 90 days of hire
Adapts well to process changes

Job Qualifications

* You have prior experience using an auto estimating program such as: CCC One, Audatex, or Mitchell
