Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Water Resources Engineering Intern (Summer 2021) Term be based in Chelmsford, MA. All technical interns at AECOM will develop through a combination of work experience, training, networking, and exposure to AECOM subject matter experts. The goal of the Internship is to assist with building business and technical competency.

Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Perform assignments requiring an application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

* Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

* Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

* Develop solutions for routine technical problems with limited scope

* Work under the supervision of a project engineer or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

* Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering related fiel

* Must have completed three years of study in the applicable program. Contingent upon a positive performance review, a successful intern may receive an offer of full-time employment

Preferred Qualifications

* Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

* Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)

* Coursework related water/wastewater/water resources
