Qualifications
What You Will Need:
* Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Internet skills.
* Ability to deal effectively with the public.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
* Ability to work and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays etc.
* Ability and willingness to adapt to change.
* Previous experience in a medical setting, (Physician Office, Hospital, Etc.) preferred
* Medical Terminology preferred
* Basic Insurance Knowledge preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* High School Diploma or GED
Job Summary:
The Director of Patient Access, is responsible for day to day monitoring of work flow in a specific area of patient registration. Acts as a resource to the staff for operational issues and to any other customer who needs assistance. Registers patients in a timely manner and directs them to the correct department and/or in current location. Explains all forms and information to patients, verifies insurance, collects any co pay/deductible or outstanding balance at the time of service. Meets Upfront Cash Goals on a monthly basis.
