Work Hours/Shift:
Full Time
You Will Be Responsible For:
1. Provide services similar to those of a physician.
2. Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals and otherwise treat health conditions.
3. Sees patients both in the hospital setting and practice setting.
4. Depending on surgical specialty, may work with assigned physician(s) in endoscopy or OR
5. Assists with in-office procedures with physician and or may perform minor procedures independently.
6. Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external patients and customersin person or on the telephone.
7. Exhibits respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships within the practice and other departments.
8. Demonstrate Florida Hospitals Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork through daily interactions with patients and their families, and with the medical staff.
9. Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations and identifying any medical conditions.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
1. Risk Management: understand method and reasoning for reporting incidents, completion of hospital incident report form, assists department manager or others in recognizing and reducing risk within the department and other areas of the hospital.
2. Service Management: Demonstrates courteous service, and ability to meet special needs or requests, performs duties and a timely manner and provides updates if a delay occurs, communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal and external patients, in person or by telephone. Respects patients privacy, confidentiality and dignity.
3. Understands and Complies with the Environment of Care/Infection Control Responsibilities.
4. Is Knowledgeable and Complies with the States Institutional Activities and Expectations.
5. Age Specific Standards.
6. Provides and Expedites Patient Care in Units and ICUs: performs H&Ps and dictates into chart, writes admitting/progress notes into patient chart, writes discharge summaries and orders as directed by supervising physician, initiates standing orders for patients both pre/post op, performs pre-operative visits and follow up exams, completes specific procedures under the direction of the physicians including, but not limited to removal of chest tubes an NG tubes and wound care, and provides system management of Surgical practice patients as per medical staff privilege delineation.
7. Provides Direct Patient Care in Floors and Units.
8. Assists physicians with coordination of clinical activities and orders.
MSN (Masters of Nursing)
One + years experience
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Provides direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising MD.
1. Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
2. Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida.
3. Advanced Registered Nurse Certification
4. Continuing education required to maintain licensure
Job Summary:
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients (surgical). The ARNP may diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the Florida Hospital Physician Group medical staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners. Depending on the practice, ARNP may be required to work and/or be on call on weekends.
