Position Summary
The ABM Deal Desk is part of the Sales Excellence team, managing proposals for facility and technical solutions to aviation, commercial, education, manufacturing, healthcare, and government clients. The Deal Desk is responsible supporting over $1 Billion in annual sales. This team sets the standard for all proposals across the company, and you will be joining the deal desks strategic and centralized team on the ground floor!
As a Deal Desk Specialist, you are critical to the Sales organization and are responsible for the development, and timely completion of proposals, presentations, and sales materials in support of ABMs overall sales objectives for the ABM Deal Desk Team.
Deal Desk responsibilities include developing proposals, content gathering and verification while maintaining corporate style guide standards. The selected candidate must be able to understand what our clients are requesting and how to proactively customize every deliverable to their unique requirements. They will also be responsible for internally communicating within the sales and operations teams the tools and resources available, ensuring deal desk processes are followed and enforcing consistency of the brand in all sales materials. This position reports to a Deal Desk Manager.

Responsibilities:
Receive inbound RFP, RFI, and Presentation requests from sales and operations for new and retention opportunities.
Ability to utilize strong technical writing skills to customize standardized content to align with service, industry, and client insights.
Lead strategy/planning meetings and serve as the project manager to clarify client requirements and delegate tasks to ensure client deliverables are met.
Create proposals and presentations using relevant business software; ensure content is consistent with Center of Excellence (CoE), Deal Desk and corporate marketing guidelines.
Analyze detailed client requirements and manage bid response coordinating inputs from proposal automation software, multiple departments, and resources.
Lead sales team through value proposition, executive summary, and client insight development.
Ensure win strategy, client pain points, and ABM solutions are clearly defined presenting client with a compelling reason to win the business.
Develop easy-to-read, error-free, visually compelling proposals.
Handle various aspects of proposal production as needed.
Ensure proposals are accurate and that they are submitted on time according to the clients specific requirements.
Execute high-quality proposals and presentations while meeting tight, client-driven timelines.
Provide client deliverables with input from and under direction of the Deal Desk Manager
Maintain frequently used proposal content (within Qvidian proposal content management tool) and provide information from Qvidian to Sales/Operations personnel, as assigned.
Conduct follow-up meetings with sales to determine final status of business development opportunities, and identify areas of improvement and content updates
Maintain logos, graphics, and photo files ability to resize and conduct basic editing of graphic files.
Manage special projects as assigned such as content development, Subject Matter Expert Reviews, reference list management, data collection and cleanup.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism, or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of experience in sales proposal production, communications and managing multiple projects.
Technical writing experience.
Critical thinking, resourcefulness and planning in a pro-active manner.
Advanced ability to understand a clients business, technology and process needs, and translate into actionable, industry-leading services solutions.
Verbal communication and presentation skills that can influence others including senior managers and executives.
Ability to receive direction from and provide direction to strong personality types.
Team player with a customer-first attitude to do what is necessary to support the teams efforts to retain existing business and obtain new business.
Understanding of the various methods a client opportunity may be delivered and can anticipate what will work best for a given client.
Ability to combine technical expertise with business acumen to provide vital, detailed information about how an ABM solution can deliver business value to its clients.
Must work well under pressure and be able to meet multiple and conflicting deadlines.
Ability to work flexible hours when deadlines occur in other time zones.
Must be able to make sound decisions while managing short-turnaround requests.
B2B experience in service industry a plus!

Additional Technical/Software Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Proficient with managing documents in SharePoint.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional and creating, editing and optimizing .PDF documents.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and general graphics editing software is a plus but not required.
Prior experience with Qvidian (or other content management application) is highly desirable.
Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com is preferred.
