Job Description

Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) Industrial Engineers plan plant, production facilities and equipment layouts, determines the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

* Job Scope may include time and motion studies, equipment capacity modeling, layout design, analytics, project management, data management and analysis, simulation and other facets of factory design and process improvement.
* Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
* On the basis of these studies, communicates complex data and conclusions in easily understandable way to get the organization aligned to implementation of plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.

This is an internship which will take place in 2021 and compensation will be given accordingly based on candidate education level and internship duration.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Requirements

* Pursuing a master's degree or PhD degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.

6+ months experience:

* Microsoft Excel and macros or scripts for and data mining statistics analysis
* Able to apply at least one scripting language such as VBA, SQL, R, Python

Preferred

6+ months experience in one or more of the following:

* Data visualization applications: Power BI, Tableau, Excel, @Risk, JMP
* Database usage and data mining
* Business process mapping and/or systems thinking
* Time studies
* Equipment capacity modeling and/or simulation
* Constraint identification
* Operations research and/or simulation
* Facilities planning
