Determines, specifies and evaluates the viability of complex hardware features and structures and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly. Designs framework for particular functions. Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families. Provides multilayered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Defining and evaluating hardware, firmware and power delivery features to improve active and idle power/performance.
Adding new customer-facing capabilities around manageability, OS interfaces, and platform design.
Evaluating various technology capabilities and Power savings features and PnP tradeoffs.
Power modeling and evaluation of existing and future SoC designs.
Analyze Dynamic behaviors of power management features while optimizing configuration for power and performance targets.
Construct, develop, and deliver analysis for power contributors against key usage scenarios, compute workloads, and present them with clarity and attention to detail to stake holders and executives.
Design of experiments for improving current and newly introduced features in the power context, enabling debugging and troubleshooting of SOC and platform issues through silicon development, and Driving pre- and post-si tuning of datacenter SoCs.
Lead and provide a power architecture view to influence and map to product definition process.

Qualifications

Architectural definition and analysis
Successful design of IPs and SoCs
Hardware or firmware design and validation
Power Modeling or Power/Performance analysis
Technical leadership experience with a diverse array of highly skilled teams, including product definition, software teams, RTL design teams, verification teams and external vendors
Programming in C++, Python, or equivalent.

Education:

Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 9+ years of experience or PhD Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience or related field.
