We are looking for passionate software engineer with leadership skills to work in a team environment to develop firmware for next generation of IA processors and SoCs.

In this position you will be responsible for low level programming, system architecture, and validating firmware on pre-silicon and post-silicon systems. You will work with cross-function team of SoC designers and validators to deliver firmware for core and atom processors product line. Working closely with hardware/design engineers to debug and troubleshoot the issues observed throughout the product life-cycle. Exposure to Intel x86 architecture, memory controllers and its interfaces, workflows, timing, and cryptography algorithms, is/are added advantage.

An ideal candidate would exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:

* Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 4+ years of industry experience; OR a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of industry experience.

5+ years' experience in design and C/C++ coding skills.

3+ years' Industry experience should include UEFI based System BIOS development or Embedded Controller Firmware development.

3 + years' experience with Hardware/Software interaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience optimizing firmware/software to meet performance metrics.

Experience in system-level debugging skills.

Experience with Python and configuration management tools such as GIT/Perforce etc.

Experience working with a developer-run Agile/Scrum model.
