Collaboration is key in OTD, and leaders are expected to role model advanced partnerships between manufacturing, module engineering, integration, and factory support organizations. Additionally:
* The Manufacturing Operations Manager job requires a full working knowledge of the theories, principles and concepts for factory physics, theory of constraints and lean thinking.
* Supervisors independently determine and execute a course of action for both their people as well as functioning in the Captain of the Shift (COS) role for their shift.
* Responsibilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and hiring decisions.
* As a leader in the 24x7 operations group, you will be responsible for reinforcing a culture of operational excellence (safety, quality, work, Throughput Time (TPT) optimization, cost reduction).
* You will be expected to establish operating policies and procedures, coordinate multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, and establish strategic plans to ensure production schedules are met within the organization's quality and cost objectives.
Qualifications
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Requirements:
* Possess a bachelor's degree (with 1+ years of relevant experience) or master's degree in an engineering or related technical field (Materials Science, as an example) or Supply Chain Management.
1+ years of experience in:
* Demonstrated track record of results working in a team environment and dealing with rapidly changing priorities.
* Applying lean concepts in a manufacturing environment.
* Partnering with and negotiate with development engineers and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) peers.
