The candidate will be working with a leading-edge Graphics Security Research Team on increasing our capabilities regarding Kernel Based Feedback Driven Fuzzing. The candidate will be developing an API which will streamline common instrumentation tasks such as:
Specifying a process or driver module
Starting and stopping the trace
Writing the traces
Parsing the traces
Clearing the traces
The candidate will explore various options for instrumentation implementation such as Intel Processor Trace, Branch Trace Store, or hypervisor hooks. The candidate will weigh the pros/cons of various options and propose an optimal solution.
The candidate will need to work remotely due to the current state of the pandemic and be able to provide an uninterrupted environment for conference calls as well as stable internet connection for VPN/remote connections.
The candidate should be a motivated self-starter with a strong problem solving mindset able to navigate complex/ambiguous problem statements independently.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Pursuing master's degree or greater in Computer Science/Engineering ore related, with an interest in Security technology.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Understanding of feedback driven fuzzing and existing tools, (AFL/KAFL, IPT)
-General understanding of secure coding principals
-SW optimization
Skills needed to perform this job:
-Strong C/C++ background with windows driver development a plus.
-Navigating WinDBG/Kernel Debug
-Understanding coverage measuring tools such as Bullseye
-Python
