Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

We’ll be looking to you assess business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance with emerging technology standards.  You will make appropriate product and business trade-offs and given technology direction that leads to measurable product and business outcomes.  You will define, design and implement complex multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process.  You will develop technical and domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges.  You will interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers.  You will be a coach and mentor junior engineers and be a culture champion on the team and across the company. 

Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field together with 8+ years of software development experience.  You will have an excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs and OOA/D.  You will have experience with virtualization and containerization (AWS ECS and Fargate).  You’ll have experience in building Microservice Architecture as well as experience in creating and consuming RESTful and SOAP based web services.  You will have demonstrated experience in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.  You will have demonstrated experience in modern programming languages and design patterns.  You will have hands-on experience in JAVA/J2EE, XML, Web technologies and Web services.  You’ll have a strong understanding of end-to-end software delivery using CI/CD tools (e.g. Terraform, SonarQ, GitLab Pipelines or equivalent).
