JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall upkeep and technical maintenance of the Distribution Center. Performs all technical maintenance and repairs on distribution center mechanical equipment. Clears jams and motor problems on conveyor systems. Calibrates basic mechanical equipment and maintains forklifts and other warehouse vehicles.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Performs moderate to complex technical maintenance and repairs on distribution center mechanical equipment.
* Works closely with Maintenance Tech I to teach repair and troubleshooting techniques.
* Calibrates mechanical equipment, troubleshoots scanners if not functioning properly, and may upgrade mechanical equipment.
* Maintains forklifts and other warehouse vehicles.
* Records all work completed in a departmental log.
* Participates in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Qualification
Experience:
Five years experience in technical maintenance, contracting, or the equivalent required
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting manuals providing instruction in repair and maintenance of various machinery and equipment. Proficiency in operating powered tools, equipment, and machinery. Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment. Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
Other:
Basic carpentry skills including framing, sheetrock, and painting.
Basic knowledge of welding, plumbing and aptitude for problem solving.
