Senior Analyst, Sales Planning & Analysis - Power BI

Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for supporting our sales leaders with all aspects of sales and gross profit planning and analysis. They will also

be responsible for complex technical projects involving the implementation of the Microsoft Power BI platform and collaborating with other

cross functional teams to leverage existing technologies for the streamlining of data analysis, identifying best practices, as well as

developing complex models and performance measurement tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain various sales and profitability reports and dashboards (e.g. pro forma P&L, performance scorecards) in Microsoft

Power BI platform.

Provide actionable analytics and partner with sales leadership to generate and maintain annual sales and gross profit (GP) targets for

all levels of the field and tele-sales sales organization.

Consult and advise sales leadership on financial analytics based on curated reports to ensure sound business decisions for positive

financial outcomes or mitigated financial risk.

Prepare detailed monthly P&L forecasts & variance analysis, annual P&L budget, sales force target setting and maintenance,

customer/product segment sales and margin trend reporting and analysis.

Prepare any ad hoc and recurring business analytics and reporting requests for Medical leadership team.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

may be broad in nature. May serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May take on project co-lead role as

required.

and knowledge of business strategy to solve complex problems; recommend solutions to business challenges. Demonstrate good judgment

in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

Qualification

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelors Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Masters degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more

industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Must have strong technical experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI.

Must have strong analytical skills and be able to formulate decision-based modeling and reporting around complex business problems

and requests

Extensive experience analyzing sales and gross profit including identifying drivers of volume and margin trends and variances at multiple

levels.

Strong working experience of Excel Power Pivot, Power Query, VBA, and Microsoft Access highly preferred

Minimum five years financial and / or business analytics experience required. Ideal candidate will have experience supporting a medium

to large manufacturing or distribution company with a complex internal structure.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
