EIRMC has a Licensed Cath Lab Technician Position open!

The Cath Lab Technician will primarily be responsible for assisting in the Invasive Cardiology Cardiac Catherization Laboratory (CCL)/Electrophsiology Laboratory, including diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures within an inpatient and outpatient environment. The position is responsible for following standard procedures and functions as part of the invasive cardiology team, with proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, may perform other duties related to clinical testing and/or operational tasks that manifest a teamwork environment.

The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) includes a full-service hospital with 318 patient beds. It serves as the regions healthcare hub, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (of only two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. Our ER is the most experienced in the region. The hospital's other specialty services include the region's only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit capable of caring for babies born as early as 22 weeks gestation; the regions only Pediatric Intensive Unit, the largest heart program in the region, a Behavioral Health Center which is a74-bed Joint Commission accredited psychiatric hospital and the regions only Primary Stroke Center.

Qualifications

* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
* Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure.
* Requires completion from an accredited program either from Radiographic Science, Cardiovascular Technology .
* Must maintain current license, yearly AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers certification, hospital mandatories and arrhythmia class.
* Need wide knowledge base of equipment used, how to deliver all cardiac medications, how to calculate and prepare a study, how to care for a patient from start to finish, and how to deal with any emergency situations.
* Flexibility in scheduling.
