Job Summary

Essential Functions



Responsible and accountable for assessing skincare needs, planning, documentation, and evaluating patient outcomes.



Participates in formulating, maintaining, and modifying individualized age specific plans of care.



Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient education programs with collaboration in the community and within the hospital.



Responsible for collecting and interpreting information for quality improvement activities.



Helps create a superior clinical identify by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care.



Supports a patient first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.



Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.



Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.



Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.



Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.



Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current license as a RN

Current certification as a BLS and ACLS Healthcare Provider

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing

1+ Years of experience in acute care setting.

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.

West Florida Hospital is a 515 bed facility and the only Atrial Fibrillation Certified hospital. WFH has also been honored as a Truven Top 100 Hospital and just recently received their Joint Commission Sepsis accreditation. Additionally, WFH was the area's first Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We are also an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
