Job opportunity:
Food Services Lead, St. Marks Hospital
Under the direction of the Food Service Director, supervises, the Food Services Lead coordinates and participates in tray line, pots/dish room, Cafeteria and cleaning activities of the department. Works with the Cook to coordinate the preparation and delivery of food for the patients, staff, visitors and special functions. Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment in the department. Receives and examines foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantities meet established standards and specifications. Assists in the development and implementation of policies/procedures, food preparation guidelines, patient menus, etc. Assists with the evaluation process of the Food Service Aides. Participates in the development of short and long range goals and objectives for the department. Complies with all regulatory requirements. Works with all staff members creating teamwork in all areas. Responsible and has authority to perform all day to day functions of the department. Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications
Licensure/ Certification/Registration:
* Current Salt Lake County Food handlers Permit or ServeSafe certificate.
* Education: Up to and including High school or College preferred
Experience:
* 6 months or greater experience in a healthcare or food service environment.
* Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Special Qualifications:
* Ability to work with little or no supervision
