Position Summary: The clinical pharmacy manager is responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services and ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical services on a daily basis. The clinical pharmacy manager facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies.
* Coordinate activities of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee including but not limited to, preparation and distribution of the agenda, minutes and other documents as needed for meetings.
* Facilitates the development and implementation of treatment guidelines, protocols, formulary changes and critical pathways as approved by appropriate committees.
* Provides accurate, adequate and timely drug information to the professional staff.
* Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Parkland Medical Center, an 86-bed acute care hospital, is located in the heart of Derry, New Hampshire. We are a Level III Trauma Center that offers a wide range of services such as heart and vascular care, robotics surgery, interventional spine and pain care, and behavioral health services. Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelors or Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
* Licensed Pharmacist through the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy
* 3-5 years in a clinical pharmacist position required
* Board Certification is required within One year of hire
* Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) Preferred.
