The Environmental Services Floor Technician is essential in the hospital industry. The Environmental Services Associate performs daily and periodic cleaning tasks in assigned areas in order to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for patients, visitors, and other staff members. Job responsibilities include:

* You will perform Mopping, Burnishing/Buffing, Scrubbing, Stripping and Waxing of floors in accordance with departmental policy. Ensure all Floors are thoroughly dust mopped prior to performing any of the listed procedures.

* Operate floor equipment in a reasonable manner and immediately report problems with equipment to supervisor.

* You will be respectful to patients, visitors, co-workers, nursing staff and other occupants of the hospital when operating floor equipment.

* Perform daily and periodic floor care maintenance in accordance with assigned schedule.

* Perform floor care projects as assigned.

* You will use floor chemicals in accordance with policy and manufacture recommendations.

Qualifications

* At least 1 year of experience in Environmental Services or Housekeeping (preferred)

* Previous experience as a Floor technician / Floor care is strongly preferred
