Facebook is seeking a Program Manager to support people program initiatives as part of Infra Data Center (IDC) Team Experience. The person in this role will work with a globally distributed team of stakeholders and cross functional partners to lead people-related programs, projects and initiatives across the lifecycle of Facebooks worldwide data center footprint. Team members are strong problem solvers and collaborators, with a focus on driving impact and helping the organization scale.
Program Manager, Team Experience (People Programs) Responsibilities
* Lead programs for the data center team (recruiting initiatives, talent/leadership initiatives, functional strategy, etc.) with large-scale impact that span multiple global teams
* Drive programs by facilitating communication, coordination, planning, and execution across data center teams and business partners
* Establish strategic project plans to achieve the desired business outcomes
* Coordinate and support program development with key partners (HR, Recruiting, Legal, Communications, Finance, etc.)
* Assist with escalated issues on priorities, goals, strategies, resources, and key initiatives
* Measure the impact of programs and ensure scalable solutions
* Influence leaders on best practices and approaches to effectively execute and deliver high impact priorities that span the Infrastructure Data Center team
* Publish regular program updates, e.g. roadmaps, read-outs and highlight reports
* Conduct initial discovery for program support. Elicit detailed business requirements by engaging stakeholders and partners. Drive in-depth scoping and planning efforts with input from Subject Matter Experts
* Establish strong relationships with leads and managers of stakeholder and partner teams, including regular syncs to maintain proactive stance/awareness across our cross-functional partnerships
* Foster a culture of collaboration and decision making based on data
* Maintain project management best practices to include thorough documentation, capture lessons learned, and effective knowledge management
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in fields such as finance, business, information technology, computer science, infrastructure operations
* 8+ experience as a program manager or in an equivalent function, 2+ years as a program or product lead
* 5+ years of strategic planning, consulting experience or the equivalent
* Experience in communicating with executive and project-level audiences
* Experience successfully building consensus across globally distributed, diverse, cross-functional organizations
* Experience in combining strategic and tactical responsibilities
* Experience in identifying and achieving alignment around short term milestones to meet long term objectives
* Experience defining and executing on implicit and explicit objectives on multiple parallel programs
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced degree in a business, technical, or operational field
* Data center, high tech experience
* At-scale lifecycle experience (planning, construction, installation, provisioning, operation, maintenance, decommissioning)
