The Group Technical Program Management for WhatsApp Privacy will be responsible for defining and driving impactful engineering projects, solving complex systems problems and building platforms that power WhatsApp's Software and infrastructure to meet compliance commitments. You will tackle challenging issues of scale, reliability, efficiency, privacy and security while delivering a delightful, simple user experience to a global user base. You also have the proven ability to go deep into mobile client architecture & infrastructure along with a solid understanding of privacy and cloud infrastructure. You will be expected to be a highly effective communicator, articulate & implement a clear direction in both product & technical dimensions, and build strong partnerships across cross-functional teams. The Group Technical Program Management for WhatsApp Privacy will have both deep technical and program expertise that can drive results with agility and leadership. Inspirational team leader that can gain the support and efforts of stakeholders teams and task owners. Have an influence that span many dimensions as you engage to understand, solve and accomplish great things. Inspire and wear multiple hats bringing the whole team with you. Demonstrated experience building, grooming, and mentoring technical program management or engineering teams of 20 or more, and a proven track record of scaling infrastructure in a highly transformative environment. Specifically, she/he will be an innovative, intellectually curious problem solver. This person does not need to have the correct answer to everything but, rather, should be able to quickly drive the conversation toward a productive programmatic solution by including the right. This is a full-time position.

Group Technical Program Manager, WhatsApp Privacy Responsibilities

* Build and lead a team of TPMs capable of scaling with WhatsApp through a period of continued high-growth while forging tight partnerships with managers and engineers across infrastructure & product teams.

* Influence strategy and vision for privacy infrastructure to solve for privacy requirements at scale for WhatsApp in close collaboration with product, infra and privacy leaders across the company.

* Demonstrate an ability to structure an organization and optimize it for execution, including attracting top tier talents and filing out gaps in the existing team quickly to accommodate growth.

* Manage from the front, prioritize, and drive the bigger mission forward by translating vision into results.

* Manage, mentor and grow the existing technical program management teams.

* Support technical aspects of critical initiatives and features in the messaging Privacy space including contributing to design and implementation planning, working with the team to set priority and tracking progress, and working cross functionally to represent engineering.

* Work with Product Management and Engineering to help develop product MVP and ensure implementation scope and delivery times are aligned with product requirements and expectations.

* Measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes that are working well and build the next level of improvements, set standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability.

* Continue to improve the thriving engineering culture across all tech functions.

* Build and lead an organization with customer focus and effective communication with a focus on decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive resolutions to conflicts, and a no barriers mentality.

* Serve as an evangelist for the team and overall culture, both internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications

* B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

* 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience.

* Experience either in an established data storage, real-time monitoring, cloud computing or mid-sized growth stage company.

* Experience communicating behind program architectures, including how and why they were run, and the systems put in place to run them.

* Knowledge in technical program management methodologies, experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.

* Experience moving technical or engineering programs from concept to completion and experience articulating the impact using metrics, growth examples, return.

* Experience with Cloud computing, large-scale infra leveraging technologies such as Java, Python, Shell, C, C++, etc.

* Experience with scale, production with emphasis on Reliability, Efficiency, Scalability.

* Experience implementing instrumentation and monitoring solutions.
