Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary:

An Electrician will perform as a skilled team member in the continuous improvement of maintenance, fabrication, installation, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment electrical systems. Must be willing to work flexible shifts, and be subject to overtime. Electrician will practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all costumer rules and safety procedures and policies. Properly diagnose, replace or repair parts of equipment utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment and material to accomplish maintenance functions including but not limited to the following: inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, removing and replacing components on equipment. Must be able to solve problems by studying drawings, and technical publications if necessary. Tobacco free facility.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for the continuous improvement, fabrication, installation, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment electrical systems, and components.

Qualifications:

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.

Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers

Read and interpret electrical system schematics/drawings

Have a valid Driver's License.

Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work.

Proficient in layout, bending, running, and installation of electrical conduit

Ability to work independently

Basic computer skills

Have a complete set of electrical, and basic hand tools appropriate for electrical maintenance and repair (company will provide specialized tools)

Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all of the above areas

Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces

Ability to perform work at heights

Ability to frequently lift and/or move varied objects up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Experience

2 to 3 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
