Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the establishment and implementation of Quality Assurance for the company. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the programs by conducting planned and periodic audits, surveillances, assessments and inspections. Administers the business units Corrective Action, including tracking and trending of corrective actions. Provides direction on quality assurance matters to management. Recommends and implements solutions to identified quality problems. Provides leadership direction to assigned staff. Span of Control: between 4 and 10 FTEs.
Key Accountabilities

* Performs or guides and ensures the accomplishment of the following core management functions for a given business unit(s), or group within that BU: planning, organizing, directing, staffing and employee selection and performance management, coordinating, reporting and budgeting.
* Leads the continuous improvement commitment and efforts for a given group(s): designing processes; establishing quality and quantity standards and metrics; collecting, refining, adapting and communicating best practices; sharing knowledge and developing staff in a systematic fashion.
* Drives improvements in organizational effectiveness, productivity, and availability and appropriate resources to satisfy requirements of client areas and the corporation.
* Problem solves and recommends solutions to leadership for identified quality problems.
* Develops and determines quality assurance and quality control priorities and monitors the status of the organization's performance on an ongoing basis.
* Effectively communicates expectations throughout the organization.
* Establishes quality levels and standards for the Organization.
* Maintains a qualified staff through selection, education and on the job training as appropriate.
* Provides technical and administrative assistance to other internal/external organizations as necessary.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

* Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field and the knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 7+ years of job-relevant experience, inclusive project management and / or developing, implementing and managing customer satisfaction and quality assurance programs

Other Qualifications

Preferred

* An Engineering Degree or Quality Manager Certification
* Relevant experience in Quality Assurance or the Utility Industry
* Knowledge and skills relevant to natural gas engineering design, construction and operations
* Proficiency in the interpretation of ISO 9001; Performing a gap analysis of Management Systems; Developing, implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to recommend and implement solutions.
* Ability to communicate effectively, influence and build relationships to foster a positive work environment and elicit support for acceptance of new process, methods, and technology within the organization.
* Experience implementing quality assurance systems.
* Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software applications.
* Ability to routinely travel and report for work at different locations (typically within the Corporation's service area); incumbents are responsible for their own transportation.
