This position is responsible to design, validate and launch software and firmware associated with TWG.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Writes Firmware and Software code for TWG components and systems.
* Translates VOC information into actionable design objectives for TWG products. Communicates with customers to insure clear understanding of customer requirements.
* Defines system level software design proposals describing complete technical architectures and solutions.
* Works with hardware engineers to define microprocessor selection, relevant interfacing circuits and input/output communications at the module and systems level.
* Performs 100% validation testing of software design, verifies embedded firmware and software functionality and compatibility with hardware design.
* Performs troubleshooting and resolution of software design issues.
* Validates and troubleshoots product functionality during on-site customer visits as required.
* Other essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
* This position is also responsible for, with authority to follow ISO procedures, initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute to problem solutions, verify implementation of solutions, control further processing when a problem is identified, protect the environment, including preventing pollution, analyzing or identifying areas for correction or improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Required:

* BS Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical / Electronic Engineering, with emphasis in software firmware development
* 5+ Years Experience in Embedded Systems Programming using C / C++ or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Professional use with 8/16/32-bit processors.
* Must be able to travel as required and/or directed.

Preferred:

* Programming of Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET, in particular Visual Basic and Visual C.
* Skilled Experience with device driver design: USB, SPI, IC, and UART etc.
* Experience with
* Design and specifications using CAN J1939 and CAN open.
* Determining requirements (analysis), functional requirements, and software architecture.
* Multiple IDEs, for example Kyle, IAR, MCU Expresso or Eclipse.
* Design and specification using RS485, RS232, J1939, MODBUS and CAN networks.
* Linux operating system.
* Professional use of
* Electronics Lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers.
* Bug Tracking or Software Change-Management software.
* Embedded Real Time Operating System (RTOS).
* Working knowledge of cranes, boom trucks, or other heavy equipment.
* Electrical engineering knowledge (i.e. schematic reading).
